Our Administration is dedicated to revitalizing the cashew nut sector throughout Kilifi County, as it plays a vital role in providing livelihoods for both 4,000 individuals directly and 50,000 individuals indirectly. The distribution of 500,000 cashew seedlings, grown in community-based nurseries, to over 12,500 farmers in the Tezo, Watamu, Dabaso, Ganda, and Kakuyuni wards marks a significant step towards achieving this goal.

Furthermore, we are deeply committed to empowering smallholder farmers with the necessary knowledge and skills to move beyond subsistence farming, thereby laying the groundwork for robust local market economies and facilitating access to inputs and financial services. We express our heartfelt appreciation to ETG and ETG Farmers Foundation (EFF) for their partnership, which promises to enhance the socio-economic status of our farmers and further our climate action initiatives in Kilifi and Kenya.
