CECM Omar Said and Chief Officer Zamzam Ali, Yesterday accompanied His Excellency Governor Gideon Maitha Mung’aro , had the pleasure of attending a series of impactful events in Malindi. They participated in a significant fund-drive initiative at the Malindi Islamic Centre for Orphans, where they were joined by dignitaries such as Chief Guest Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga Mombasa County Governor, Hon. Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir . Kilifi County Senator, Hon. Stewart Madzayo, Hon. Amina Mnyazi – M.P Malindi, Hon. Paul Katana Mp Kaloleni, Harrison Kombe Mp Magarini, Kilifi county assembly Majority leader Hon Ibrahim Abdi Athman, Chief Officer Agnetta Karembo, Kilifi county Chief of Staff Caroline Cheupe, and other esteemed guests. The events highlighted the importance of charity, educating orphans, and promoting messages of forgiveness and unity during the holy month of Ramadan.
Following this, they witnessed a Quran memorization competition at Nidhamia, Malindi, alongside Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and other prominent leaders, celebrating the talents of the contestants and emphasizing religious education and values.
Lastly, they attended an Iftar dinner at the Ocean Beach Resort in Malindi, where unity and gratitude during Ramadan were emphasized, reinforcing the values of forgiveness and unity within the community.
