The Department of Water, Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry, in partnership with VSO Kenya and other stakeholders, has organized a 2-day workshop to initiate the Volunteering Policy 2024 at the SilverPalm Resort in Kilifi County.
The volunteerism policy will provide the county with a structured approach to volunteerism across all sectors, not limited to the environment and climate change.
The primary objective is to unite all volunteerism efforts in a more coordinated and organized manner, ensuring that no effort goes to waste.
All volunteer groups or individuals involved in the Kilifi County government will operate under guided principles and policies, with strengthened plans to achieve a shared goal.
