Our division focuses on managing water supply systems, improving water quality, and implementing conservation strategies to support both environmental health and community needs.
Key Responsibilities
Water Supply Management
We oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of water supply systems across the county. This includes managing water reservoirs, distribution networks, and treatment facilities to ensure reliable and clean water access for all residents.
Quality Assurance
Our division monitors water quality to ensure it meets health and safety standards. We conduct regular testing and implement treatment solutions to address any contaminants or pollutants, ensuring safe drinking water for the community.
Water Conservation
We promote water-saving practices and technologies to reduce wastage and enhance water efficiency. Public awareness campaigns and educational programs are integral to our efforts in encouraging responsible water use among residents.
Infrastructure Development
We plan and execute projects aimed at improving water infrastructure, including the construction of new facilities and the upgrading of existing ones. This helps to address growing demand and improve service delivery.
Crisis Management
In times of water scarcity or emergencies, we coordinate responses to manage and mitigate impacts. This includes implementing temporary solutions and working with partners to provide support during critical periods.
Our commitment is to ensure that Kilifi’s water resources are managed effectively, supporting the needs of our communities while protecting and preserving these vital resources for future generations.
