The Department of Water & Environment Kilifi, led by CECM Hon. Omar Said, has recently initiated a borehole rehabilitation program in Matsangoni Ward, Kilifi North Subcounty. To monitor the progress, departmental officers conducted an inspection earlier in the day. We are pleased to report that, of the 8 boreholes undergoing rehabilitation, 5 have been successfully rehabilitated and are now operational. The remaining 3 boreholes are at 90% completion and require only minor finishing touches before becoming operational. In addition, officers also conducted an inspection of the water pipeline construction from Masha to Pastor Mwarome in Matsangoni ward. The pipeline is fully constructed, with some areas already receiving water flow. The remaining households are scheduled to receive water within a few days. This progress signifies a gradual but steady improvement in water access in the region.
