Members of Kilifi Youth Assembly representing different wards in Malindi sub county, Kilifi North and Magarini, accompanied by the Youth president Hon. Mbeyu Sangah were able to attend the two day ward climate change committee workshop, on matters climate finance;FLOCCA, organised by The Kilifi County Department of Environment, climate change and forestry in collaboration with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN – Research project ). Throughout the meeting, attendees engaged in dynamic discussions, interactive sessions delving into a myriad of climate change initiatives. We made sure to submit three sustainable project proposals from each ward with the aim to improve food security, malnutrition and hygiene in the community.

We appreciate the fact that the Kilifi Department of Water, Environment, Climate Change & Forestry is fully embracing the aspect of meaningful engagement to the youth.
