Chaired by the chief officer for environment Ms Zamzam Ali, the department of environment held its departmental meeting today. The meeting entailed briefs on the state of the environment in the sub-counties, the implementation of performance contracts, ongoing liquor licence processes, waste management, and the progress of ward climate change committees.
Such meetings are very important as they create a platform to exchange ideas as well as check the progress of a department in terms of service delivery.
