The Kilifi County Government has consistently prioritized addressing climate change, among other conservation efforts, to improve environmental quality.
The Chief Officer responsible for Forestry, Climate Change, and Solid Waste Management, Madam Zamzam Ali, conducted a tour of the Eco-World Waste Recycling Plant in Dabaso to observe its operations. Subsequently, Ms. Ali visited two Local Financially Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) ward committees in Dabaso and Sabaki wards to familiarize herself with their activities.
The Dabaso committee is set to implement water harvesting tanks for 60 households, while the Sabaki committee will engage in land restoration activities at Sabaki Primary School, which has experienced soil erosion. The county remains committed to implementing programs that safeguard the environment and address climate change.
