The Directorate of Solid Waste Management and Trade has successfully demolished all unauthorized temporary structures at the parking bay. This action was taken to prioritize safety and cleanliness within the market area.

Following the demolition, the market has been temporarily closed to facilitate a thorough cleaning process. Working in collaboration with the Trade department, our dedicated team, under the supervision of Madam Kasichana Kenga, is putting in great effort to create a spotless and hygienic environment for both traders and customers.

In addition to the cleaning efforts, our team recently participated in a workshop organized by MESPT, focusing on important topics such as Public Health and Solid Waste Management. This workshop provided us with valuable insights and knowledge to enhance the quality of our services.
