Earlier in the day, the CECM for water, Hon. Omar Said, accompanied by the adu ward area MCA, Hon. Zia, and engineer Erick, held a consultative meeting with the management of the Kambicha water project and opinion shapers in adu ward.
The meeting was a response to a distress call from the ADU people due to the water shortage that has been experienced in ADU, Marereni, and its environs.
After the deliberations, the team noted that some of the water pumps were faulty while others weren’t able to function due to the vandalism of a solar panel, which is supposed to pump water.
The CECM, together with the management of the Kambicha water project, agreed on modalities to end the water crisis. However, the team called upon the community to seriously guard the water infrastructure so they do not experience a water shortage as a result of vandalism.
